High School Diploma
The high school diploma program consists of three elements. Adults, including 5th year high school seniors, may choose one of two options: a “seat time” program where work is completed in class with a credentialed teacher or an Independent Study option. The “seat time” option is offered M-F mornings (8:30-11:30 a.m.). In the Independent Study option (1:00-3:00 p.m. three days a week), students work at home and must attend school at least once a week to turn in work, get teacher assistance, or to take exams. The third element of the program is reserved for concurrent high school students and is offered from 3:00-7:30 p.m. three afternoons/evenings a week.
Adults may earn an Adult Education GGUSD high school diploma after completing 190 credits of district approved curriculum, including passing the CAHSEE high school exit exam. Our program is WASC accredited.
