Adults with Disabilities

The Adults with Disabilities Program is designed to meet the needs of special education students who are 21 years of age or older. The program offers a friendly school environment where students continue to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. It is a community based program. The programs includes:

  • Developing academic and social skills
  • Community mobility training
  • Independent skills such as grocery shopping, cooking, and kitchen clean-up
  • Pre-vocational skills
  • Computer skills
  • Community activities such as dining out, neighborhood recycling and shopping

We have a core program where the students attend daily as well as a flexible program where the days and hours are tailored to meet the needs of each student. The criteria for admittance to the program has been developed to ensure that every student accepted will have the opportunity to be part of a daily educational program to allow for personal growth and develop desired skills.

(NOTE: Families interested in registering their family members should speak to their Regional Center case manager about coordinating registration into our program.)
